A Day With My Friends provides service to clients with autism, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, Down Syndrome and other developmental or physical disabilities. Our facility is ADA (American Disabilities Act) compliant, licensed by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and fully insured. There is easy access to and from the building. A Day With My Friends provides a safe, clean, and calming environment.
Skilled Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practice Nurses (LPNs), and program assistants help with activities of daily living and reaching goals: teamwork is essential to our daily schedules. Transportation within the community and/or for client employment is provided. As ACRE certified employment specialists, we strive to assist clients to find and maintain meaningful employment. Physical, occupational and speech therapies will be arranged upon request . Art, music and movement therapies are an essential part of our daily program, depending on particular preferences. In all, A Day With My Friends offers a well-rounded day program serving various individual needs.
Ann Marie Angelucci, RN
Ann Marie has worked in critical care, school nursing, hospice, home care and has taught Nursing on the college level. Because her daughter has special needs, Ann Marie sought to create an adult day program with skilled nursing care, instructional aides and community integration.
Beverly Slemmer, LPN
Beverly, with a background in medical/surgical nursing, research and home care, has worked with special needs clients for 10 years and understands the need for programs specifically designed for disabled adults age 18-59.
